I’ve put this article together as a supporting resource to those who attended my SWPP Masterclass in January 2015 titled “Let me Show you some really Cool Stuff! SEO, Lighting, Photoshop, Social Media, Website and Blogging”.
I’ll be sharing all the links to photography suppliers that I mentioned and use plus some other useful web links for training.

Equipment

One supplier that wasn’t at the show but I did mention for studio lighting products was Bessel Studio Lighting
I’m a big fan of the EL Fit soft boxes (Bowens fit) especially the 95cm Octabox Speedbox and 160cm x 35cm Softbox.
Bessel will be at The Photography Show in March if you want to take a closer look at their products.
Another handy gadget to have in the studio in the Lastolite TriFlip. Wex photographic offer a great deal on the 8:1 Deluxe Kit which is especially useful for photographers who work alone.
My favourite radio triggers at the moment are the Cactus Wireless Flash Transceiver V6.  This is the world’s First wireless flash trigger that works ON ANY CAMERA. Wireless manual power control of a list of current and previous Canon, Nikon and Pentax flashes. I was first introduced to these by Damian Lovegrove and you can order your own by visit his online shop

Software

Shortlisted for ‘Best Software’ and ‘Best Customer Service’, SWPP Awards, January 2015 and in my mind a winner. We’ve been using LightBlue as our main studio client database management software for the past year and it’s changed the way we work completely.
This year LightBlue will also be introducing online contract signing which will really speed up the booking process and make it really easy for your customers to confirm their shoots.
Check out all the LightBlue features.
Two handy online tools for creating quick and easy graphics are Canva and PicMonkey

Products

One of my trade show highlights and certainly worth a look. The custom USBs look great and I really like the premium wooden boxes which can fit a USB stick on the lid.

Training

Sandy Puc’s online video training site. Both myself and Kels Noades from KJPhotographic made an appearance this year in a live broadcast on baby photography programs. Watch The Rebroadcast.
Probably the best Photoshop training you will ever see.
